who do you love?????

Who do you love, beautiful person? Come on, you can tell me! Is it your sweetheart? Is it your parents on their anniversary? Is it your landlord for letting you have another cat, or your mortgage broker for expertly helping you refinance your home? I believe that there are all sorts of ways to celebrate love, and I also have a pretty good idea about how you can express that love......

Two years ago, I created an installation of 1500 lovebugs that swarmed through the Fuller Craft Museum and later at the Museum of Contemporary Craft. You can read the statement for my original show by clicking here. My lovebugs are made from found wood materials like clothespins, spools, Tinkertoys©, and cooking utensils, painted in black, and each has a red flocked dot somewhere on its body. They range from 3" to 8" in length. They are mounted straight into the wall on a piece of wire, and can be easily installed on any vertical wall or ceiling. After studying them for these past few years, I notice that they particularly like to live in unexpected places in the corners and arches of rooms.

Okay...I'll get right down to business: for a mere $45, I will mail the loved one of your choice a "pair" of unmatching, one-of-a-kind lovebugs in a festive gift box, along with a card with a personalized message, a statement and image from the original exhibition, installation instructions and a perfectly sized drill bit to make the whole process smoother for the non-bunny-with-a-toolbelts in your life! This price includes UPS Ground shipping within the United States, so if you need your bugs to travel overseas, we can chat about rates.
